What it does

Conditions with ethically traded virgin coconut oil and ginger for gentle moisture and circulation. Made for everyday use on normal to dry hair.

Who it's for

Normal to dry hair that needs daily moisture without heaviness.

How to use

How much: A palmful, more for long hair.

1. Apply to clean, wet hair, focusing on mid-lengths and ends.
2. Leave on 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Rinse thoroughly.

Where it fits: After shampooing, every wash day.

Why we stock it

We stock this because a simple coconut conditioner that does its job is harder to find than it should be. This one moisturizes without buildup.

About the brand

Alaffia

Fair trade beauty that empowers

The story of Alaffia grew out of West African soil: in 1996, a young man from Togo met a young woman from rural Washington State, and out of their shared calling Alaffia, a social enterprise, was born (founded 2003). Its values are Beauty, Equality, and Empowerment, with fair-trade, cruelty-free ingredients handcrafted by women-led cooperatives in West Africa. Profits fund education, maternal health, and environmental sustainability projects.

We stock Alaffia because their shea-based body care genuinely works, and every purchase supports women-led cooperatives in West Africa.

Hair questions, answered

How often should I use this?

Most hair products are two-to-three-times-a-week things, not daily — unless it's a leave-in. Your hair type matters more than the label: fine hair needs less product, thick or coily hair needs more moisture.

Will this work for my hair type?

Check the highlights and description above for guidance. When in doubt, start with a small amount — you can always add more.

Can I use this with my other products?

Usually, yes. Apply styling products lightest to heaviest, and avoid layering two heavy oils or butters unless your hair drinks them up.
